VAWD See Through the Wall Radar, known as "STORMS" is a life-form detection device that is able to sense the presence of people through common obstructions such as building walls, rubbles piles, and foliage.  Utilizing Micro-Doppler Signatures, it's able to do this from standoff distances providing increased safety for the operator and mission.

How it works

  • 1. Setup STORMS from desired distance

    Standoff sensing through obstructions up to 100meters(Handheld) and 300 meters(Vehicle) permits the operator to gain knowledge about life-forms inside buildings and their locations and movements.

  • 2. Take measurement of Range to Building

    Our technology was designed to use a laser range-finder to focus onto the building of interest.  This method gives our radar 99% accurate results, low phase noise, and fewer false detections.  Getting a range only takes a second and once the operator is ready to observe a new building they just point at it and re-range to receive information on the new building.

  • 3. Monitor GUI for Detections of Lifeforms

    STORMS devices use state of the art android devices that come equipped with VAWD's custom app.  The operator is able to view life-form detections on several views; Live(Camera) and Maps.
